Job Summary:
TechiesDesigns Electronics Private Limited is seeking an experienced ECAD Librarian to develop, maintain, and manage schematic symbol and PCB footprint libraries. The ideal candidate should ensure library accuracy, compliance with IPC standards, and support Hardware and PCB Design teams with high-quality ECAD library components.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and component libraries using ECAD tools such as Altium Designer, Allegro, PADS, Xpedition, or KiCad.Â
- Verify component dimensions, pad stacks, package information, and 3D models for library accuracy.Â
- Support Hardware and PCB Design Engineers with new component creation and library updates.Â
- Maintain library version control, documentation, and quality standards.Â
- Resolve library-related technical issues and ensure consistency across engineering projects.Â
- Coordinate with Component Engineering and Design teams to support new product development.Â
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or related disciplines.Â
- 2+ years of experience in ECAD Library Management or PCB Library Development.Â
- Hands-on experience with Altium Designer, Allegro, PADS, Xpedition, or similar ECAD tools.Â
- Generate Gerber, ODB++, NC Drill, Pick & Place, and assembly documentation.
- Support design teams in resolving component-related issues, obsolescence risks, and alternate part identification.
- Strong knowledge of IPC-7351 standards, electronic component packages, PCB footprints, and schematic symbol creation.Â
- Good understanding of PCB design processes and electronics components.Â
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
